Premier Biopharma Globally Recognized as Research Group of the Year Award Finalist
WATERTOWN, MA – (BUSINESS WIRE) – June 14, 2011 – Wolfe Laboratories, Inc. (WLI), an integrated early development biopharmaceutical services company located in Watertown, MA, has been named a finalist for the Research Group of the Year Award in the international Life Science Awards 2011, celebrating the very best of the industry's achievements worldwide.
Janet Wolfe, Ph.D., President and Founder of WLI, is being honored a finalist for the Business Leader of the Year Award, and will attend the Life Science Awards gala at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Hamburg, Germany on June 29.
The awards recognize key personnel and products in the industry, and nominees were judged by an esteemed panel with global influence. The judging panel includes Dermot Boylan, President of the European Lab Robotics Interest Group; Anthony Davies, Director of High Content Research at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland; Hakim Djaballah, Director of the HTS Core Facility at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA; Thomas Joos, Head of Biochemistry at the University of Tuebingen, Germany; Dr. Karol Kozak, Data Handling Expert and Head of Informatics at ETH, Zurich, Switzerland; Chris Lowe, Director of the Institute of Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge, England; and Steven Rees, Director of Screening and Compound Profiling at GlaxoSmithKline, Chelmsford, England.
The prestigious event is being hosted by Select Biosciences, and will include a gala dinner, awards ceremony and keynote speech from BBC science presenter, journalist and executive producer Michael Mosley. The ceremony precedes the inaugural European Lab Automation Conference and Exhibition.
